Boiler Scrappage Scheme

The boiler scrappage scheme announced by the Government in early December is expected to be launched in in the first half of 2010, if not sooner. Many questions remain unanswered of exactly how the scheme will operate and whether or not it will be open to independent contractors but campaigners are pushing hard for it be the hosueholder that claims the rebate, rather than the contractor.

The scheme will offer a £400 scrappage payment for all boilers with a  Sedbuk G rating or less and we believe un-rated boilers with efficiency of less than 70% will be included, but again this is yet to be confirmed. More information can be found at Boiler Guide about the boiler scrappage scheme.
